Mini-Minute-at-the-Mic

If you would like 30 seconds (yeah, it used to be 60) to explain your ministry, or call attention to your booth, send your name to info@emdcon.org so we can get those lined up each day. Please send your request in early to info@emdcon.org. Because of the increased interest in Minute-at-the-Mic, all slots are now 30 seconds in order to allow more people to participate.

As we have anticipate having over 700 people attending EMDC, we need to remind you that you must keep your announcement within the time limit! You will hear the timer go off at 30 seconds and gently get louder as it goes.

Since coffee break is right after the Mini-Minute-at-the-Mic part, feel free to say something like “If you want to talk to me about this—-I am standing right over here (gesture with your hands) before the break.” That way people can find you in the crowd.  We have presenters step off to the side when they are done and wait there so that others can make a visual connection.

Reserve your 30 seconds with an email to me. Please also send the name and logo you want on screen. If you just want text send us an email with something like this:

If you really want a logo, pic, slides, or a video, you can send that and we will insert that (no guarantees if you send it later than a week before the conference). This will be on the screen as you are talking. Each day we will call up around 25 people. Look for your name on the floor in order. Step up to the mic as your name and screen info comes on.

All slides must be sent in 16:9 format and videos must be already edited to the correct length. You may submit a maximum of 3 slides. If you submit more than 3 slides, only the first 3 slides will be used. Because we are using Google Slides, we cannot play audio files with the slides. Slides with audio must be converted into a video. All files for your presentation should be submitted by May 1.

We want your information to go out, but it is only fair to everyone if you stay in your time. Please practice your 30 seconds if you need to! If you get info to me ahead of time, and if you are ready on your day that will help! I am here to help, so if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.  steve@emdc.info
